Avengers: endgame sub indo. I've been a superhero and comic fan since I was little and have enjoyed watching the entire cinematic Marvel Universe take shape. While there have been some excellent films and in my opinion some average films, the culmination was the amazing Infinity War. Infinity War delivered on nearly all fronts while I must say that Avengers: Endgame did not. Infinity War captured my undivided attention for its entire 2 hour and 40 minute run time with its mostly serious tone regarding the fate of Earth and its people. The same cannot be said for Endgame as it seemed to jump around often and mixed in a bit too much humor. The movie runs 3 hours and 2 hours of it are a convoluted story about the heroes troubles after the 'snap' and figuring out a plan to defeat Thanos while bringing back all of those lost. The last 45 minutes or so have a very good battle sequence with a mish mash of conclusions. The film focuses too much on fan service instead of creating a cohesive storyline. Spoilers below for a more in depth look at what worked and what didn't.

The last 45 minutes overshadow the entire film and are by far and away the best part.
Heartfelt moments between Iron Man and Spider Man.
Captain Marvel trying to pull off the gauntlet and Thanos moving the power stone to the other hand to get him off of her looked amazing.
The nod from Doctor Strange to Iron Man knowing what the outcome would be was a fitting end.
A fine farewell for RDJ/Iron Man in the end considering Iron Man started the MCU.
Some of the humor from early on especially from Professor Hulk.
Good scene in having Cap turn over his shield to Falcon so that he can become the Next Captain America as he has done so in the comics.
Negatives:
How often did time travel need to be discussed and tested? The entire plot revolving around this seemed awfully complicated and confusing. The first 2 hours were dreadfully slow and a bit unnecessary towards the overall arc of the movie.
Most characters barely played a role or had an impact in the movie. Yes they were around and popped up but most didn't do much of anything. I believe fans are more excited that they got to see everyone on the screen at the same time instead of realizing how little they contributed to the movie.
Black Widows death was not that impactful and is strange considering the talks of her potential solo movie.
Captain Marvel was definitely too over powered in the film.
Thor is now fat and it's hilarious to talk about his weight gain. talk about use of childish humor.
Seeing Professor Hulk was a treat but he was rather underutilized. He had a few funny moments in the film but he was rather insignificant in the battle once again due to a certain handicap. In Infinity War he refused to come out and now he was injured. A little weak for being such a huge part of the team.
Captain America wielding Thor's hammer and also harnessing the power of lightning? Yes I know Cap picks up the hammer and throws it in the comics but seeing him swing around the hammer and shoot lightning felt a little silly.
Speaking on the end battle, Thanos generals were also insignificant in the battle when they played key roles in fighting the Avengers.
Was Captain America's love story really that important to end the franchise on that note.
